Purge, flush, and prime tower
Those are the usual names for filament that never becomes the part: color-change dump, and the extra tower your slicer prints to stabilize the next color.
Purge or flush is filament pushed out when the printer switches colors so the old color is gone. Some people call it poop. It is still grams on the spool.
A prime tower (sometimes a wipe tower) is a small extra print beside the model. The slicer uses it so the next color is ready and even. It is not the product.
Supports are extra that holds up overhangs and then comes off. They are not in the finished piece either.
In AMS / Multicolor Waste you can enter those buckets separately, or use a single slicer waste total. Do not enter the same grams in both places.
You do not need a full slicer tutorial. Copy the waste lines your slicer already reports for that plate.

Quick tip
If you only have one waste number from the slicer, use that total. Do not invent a second copy of the same grams.
