Failed prints and waste allowance
Some prints fail. Failure & Waste spreads that cost onto the ones you can actually sell. It is not “add 10% to the sticker price and call it done.”
If you typically lose about one in ten, each good print has to carry a share of the failed ones: wasted filament, power, maybe time. The Failure & Waste Allowance tool asks for your usual fail rate — not your worst day — and which costs you still burn when a print fails. Packaging and finishing often happen only on successes; those can stay at 0% lost.
Batch Order can include a waste allowance on filament and electricity as a cost. It does not add extra hours to the schedule for those failures.
Color-change purge and prime towers are a different problem. That is AMS / Multicolor Waste, not this tool.
